Course Content
Responsibilites under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, regulatory reform (fire safety) order 2005 and other relevant legislation.
Safety Awareness
Selection and placement of Fire Extinguishers
Types and dangers
Hose Reel
Smoke detectors
Fire drill
Completion of record of fire evacuation and test

Fire Regulations
Place a legal obligation on all employers to demomstrate the organisations safety precautions. The regulations state that employers have an unconditional responsibility for the safety of employees, staff, customers, visitors and property.

A Fire Risk Assessment should be carried out at regular intervals including
When there are extentionsor alterations made
When there are changes in the number of staff
When there is change of use
When there is the installation of new equipment or systems

Electrical appliances
Emergency exits

Warning of fire
Means of fire fighting

A room for the theory session and a safe area for the practical session.
