Kentra can provide a Stress Awareness training course, this course was developed by CIEH before their recent changes, we are currently reviewing the awarding body for this course. In the meantime we are still providing this course with our own certification.
Ratio 10 candidates:1 instructor, Duration: 1 Day
To raise awareness of likely sources of work-related illness stress, the range of symptoms and effects it can cause and the options available for its control
By the end of this program, all students should be able to:
Explain what is meant by the term stress and in particular work related stress
Explain the importance of controlling stress in the workplace
Explain the typical stress related factors in the workplace
Identify stress in colleagues and themselves
Advise on and implement controls in the workplace to reduce stress
Monitor colleagues and themselves in relation to stress at work
Definition and types of stress
Stress as an occupational health hazard
Identification of basic workplace stressors
Development of basic controls for work related stress
Responsibilities imposed under UK legislation
A room for the theory session and a safe area for the practical session.
Certification & Validation
Candidates successfully completing this course will receive the following certification:
Stress Awareness training course – Kentra validation and plastic ID card
