Experienced Worker Test (EWT): 1 Machine: 6 Candidates: 1 Instructor: 1 Day
To provide the practical skills and the operating safety knowledge necessary for operators to correctly prepare, safely operate and maintain a hoist.
Responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act, 1974, and other relevant legislation and guidelines
Pre-shift checks and daily maintenance
Operating safety rules and procedures
Understanding and using Signal Codes
End of shift checks
Variations of hoist
A room for the theory session and a safe area for the practical session.
Any attachments which can also be tested on and detailed on the candidates card.
The Instructor is required to see the LOLER certificate for all equipment used for the practical sessions before commencement of the course.
Certification & Validation
This course can be registered with different awarding bodies if required, or simply a Kentra card – as a registered training provider we can supply a plastic ID card as proof of training, suitable for the HSE and insurances.
If an awarding body validation is required we will need to notify them prior to the course, so please mention this when booking.
Candidates successfully completing this course will receive one of the following certifications:
Kentra validation and plastic ID card
CPCS registration and plastic ID card. Rack & Pinion Goods, Passenger & Goods Combined.
NPORS registration and plastic ID card N111 Hoist training course.
