To enable experienced operators to supervise the inspection and selection and care of lifting equipment in the workplace
Their responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act, 1974, PUWER 1998 LOLER 1998
Safety regulations applicable to the use and inspections of cranes, slings and lifting equipment.
Inspection, selection, care and use of lifting equipment.
Practical inspections of the trainees own slings and equipment
A room for the theory session and a safe area for the practical session, with lifting equipment to inspect.
The Instructor is required to see the LOLER certificate for all equipment used for the practical sessions before commencement of the course.
