Kentra Training Limited is an Approved Centre to provide Accredited Training with a number of Awarding Bodies. Courses can therefore be registered with them, if required such as NPORS training, in addition to our own Kentra courses which we provide.

The National Plant Operators Registration Scheme, or NPORS as it is more commonly know was established in 1992, NPORS is now one of the UK’s leading Accreditation and Registration Bodies, working across the Construction, Industrial, Utilities, Warehousing and Distribution, Agricultural, Ports and Marine sectors.

NPORS training offers flexibility, whilst maintaining standards, both nationally and internationally by working with industry and Accredited Training Providers.

Plant Operation NVQ
We are an accredited training organisation and NVQ assessment centre for
NVQ Level 2 Plant Operations
NVQ Levels 1, 2 & 3 Warehouse & Distribution Operations
NEBOSH Occupational Health & Safety Practice
NVQ Level 3 (General Safety)
Health & Safety in Agriculture NVQ Level 2

In order to achieve a Construction Plant Competency Scheme (CPCS) card or NPORS CSCS card, candidates must achieve a full Plant Operations (PO) NVQ or, where a full NVQ is not available, the relevant NVQ units.

Kentra can help to provide the necessary assessment and verification service to assist candidates in achieving the full NVQ. This service is aimed at new plant operators looking to gain formal recognition for their plant operating skills.

The NVQ course consists of ~
NVQ Induction
Profiling (if appliable)
Portfolio Building
Assessing Plannning
Up to two site based assessment visits
Internal Verification
NVQ / Unit certification
If required, additional assessment visits can be arranged.

NVQ candidates will be expected to achieve the award in the timescale shown in the assessment plan as agreed with the assessor. This will include the recording of hours and the collection of evidence. Failure to comply with assessment plan may result in additional assessment visits being required.
