Kentra can provide a Plant Mover training course, for candidates with non operational duties. Novice’s through to experienced operators and the course registered by ourselves or with an awarding body if required.


Novice: 1 Machine : 6 Candidates : 1 Instructor: 1-2 Days
Refresher and Test: 1 Machine : 6 Candidates : 1 Instructor: 1 Day
Exprienced Worker Tests (EWT): 1 Machine : 8 Candidates : 1 Instructor: 1 Day

To train candidates in the movement of plant machinery – non operational duties.

Course Content
Slinger’s responsibilities under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, LOLER 1998 and other relevant legislation.
Site safety awareness
Pre Operational Checks
Carry out site safety checks
Operation of plant
Maneuvering machines around the site
End of shift checks

Variations of machine
Lifting equipment
Earth moving equipment
Accessing Equipment

Course requirements
A room for the theory session and a safe area for the practical session. We will also require at least one machine to manoeuvre, the variations are detailed above. We can also include any attachments which can be detailed on the candidates card if required.

Certification & Validation
This course can be registered with different awarding bodies if required, or simply a Kentra card – as a registered training provider we can supply a plastic ID card as proof of training, suitable for the HSE and insurances.

If an awarding body validation is required we will need to notify them prior to the course, so please mention this when booking.
Candidates successfully completing this course will receive one of the following certifications:

NPORS registration and plastic ID card N132 Plant Mover training course
