Refresher and Test course or Experienced Worker Test: 4 Candidates: 1 Instructor, Duration: 1 Day
The Concrete cutting chainsaw course is designed to highlight to participants the dangers of its use and the safe operating procedures necessary so as to help avoid accidents and injuries from a concrete cutting chainsaw.
Employer & Employee legal responsibilities
Health & Safety Act 1974 and other relevant legislation
Pre Operational checks
Chainsaw transportation and maintenance (workshop safety)
Lubrication and refueling
Starting and pre-cutting checks
Jammed Blade procedures
Carryout cutting correctly – (on Service Pipes / Walls / Floors)
A room for the theory session and a safe area with material to cut for the practical session.
Candidates will be expected to provide their own PPE to include helmet, hearing protection, gloves, leg/eye protection, boots or gaiters and steel toe-capped boots.
Certification & Validation
The Concrete Cutting Chainsaw training course can be registered with different awarding bodies if required, or simply a Kentra card – as a registered training provider we can supply a plastic ID card as proof of training, suitable for the HSE and insurances.
If an awarding body validation is required we will need to notify them prior to the course, so please mention this when booking.
Candidates successfully completing this course will receive one of the following certifications:
