This unique course for Small Plant and Portable Tools Training, was designed by Kentra and developed with NPORS, so nationally recognised certification is available for this training if required.
Ratio: 5 pieces of small plant : 4 candidates Duration : 1 Day
To provide the knowledge for working safely and efficiently with small items of plant and portable tools safety.
Responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, and other relevant legislation
PPE Personal Protective Equipment
Safety rules applicable to the machines/equipment being used
Completion of tasks using machines/equipment
End of shift checks
If any other machine/equipment is of interest please ask and we will be able to advise of we can accommodate on this course.
A room for the theory session and a safe area for the practical session. Use of the 5 tools to be tested on, which should be in good working order, with a selection of materials to be cut.
Delegates will be expected to provide their own PPE.

Certification & Validation
The Small Plant and Poratble Tools training course can be registered with different awarding bodies if required, or simply a Kentra card – as a registered training provider we can supply a plastic ID card as proof of training, suitable for the HSE and insurances.
If an awarding body validation is required we will need to notify them prior to the course, so please mention this when booking.
Candidates successfully completing this course will receive one of the following certifications:
