Kentra can provide a Fall Arrest and Harness training course, which can be registered by ourselves or with an awarding body if required.


10 Candidates: 1 Instructor, Duration: 1/2 Day

There is legislation regarding Working at Heights.  This course will give persons attending the knowledge and the skills to be proficient in the use and inspection of such equipment.

Course Content
Responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and other relevant legislation and guidelines.
Performance criteria, plan, organise and co-ordinate own work, adopting safe working practices.
Types of lanyards and harnesses.
Pre-use equipment checks.
Pre-Operational checks.
Practical fitting on anchorage.
End of shift checks.
Practical activities, working safely.
Inspection and storage of equipment.
All activities will be conducted under 5 metres in height.
Safety equipment.  Identifying suitable Anchor Points – Safe Routes – Safety Hazards.

Course Requirements
A room for the theory session and a safe area for the practical session using Harnesses and Lanyards. Site to fit an Anchorage.

Certification & Validation
This course can be registered with different awarding bodies if required, or simply a Kentra card – as a registered training provider we can supply a plastic ID card as proof of training, suitable for the HSE and insurances.

If an awarding body validation is required we will need to notify them prior to the course, so please mention this when booking.
Candidates successfully completing this course will receive one of the following certifications:

Kentra validation and plastic ID card

NPORS registration and plastic ID card N723 Fall Arrest & Harness training course.
