Kentra can provide a Safe Working At Height training course, for novice candidates through to experienced operators and the course registered by ourselves or with an awarding body if required.

Aim
There is legislation regarding Working at Heights.  This course will give persons attending the knowledge and the skills to be proficient whilst working at heights.

Course Contents
Responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, PUWER 1998, LOLER 1998 and other relevant legislation.
Theory, related knowledge, safety, industrial legislation
Performance criteria, plan, organise and co-ordinate own work, adopting safe working practices.
Planning working at height
Practical activities, working safely.
Inspection and storage of equipment.
All activities will be conducted under 5 metres in height
Safety equipment.  Identifying suitable Anchor Points – Safe Routes – Safety Hazards.
Communication
Rescue plan
Reporting procedures
PPE

Course Requirements
A room for the theory session.

Certification & Validation
This course can be registered with different awarding bodies if required, or simply a Kentra card – as a registered training provider we can supply a plastic ID card as proof of training, suitable for the HSE and insurances.

If an awarding body validation is required we will need to notify them prior to the course, so please mention this when booking.
Candidates successfully completing this course will receive one of the following certifications:

Kentra validation and plastic ID card

NPORS registration and plastic ID card N404 Safe working at Height training course

 

Full day course for Managers

Aim
To provide managers with the knowledge and skills to ensure the safety of employees, who are working at heights as part if their normal duties.

Course Content
In addition to the above, the afternoon session will include:
Risk assessment
Method statements and permit to work systems if necessary.

Certification & Validation

This course can be registered with different awarding bodies if required, or simply a Kentra card – as a registered training provider we can supply a plastic ID card as proof of training, suitable for the HSE and insurances.

Working At Height training course

We can deliver many types of Working at Heights courses, if you would like to discuss the different programmes available please Contact us. This is a half day course and we can therefore deliver one course in the morning and one in the afternoon or alternatively provide 2 different half day courses (i.e. Working at Heights + 1 Harness course)
