Instructor Training

If you’re looking to uplevel your communication skills, to share the knowledge and expertise that you have gained, and to help develop the skills of the future workforce then an instructor training course could be just what you need to take your career to the next level.

At Kentra Training, our Instructors are also qualified Tutors, meaning that they can deliver the training you need to become an Instructor. We can provide this training either at our Training Centre in Middlewich or on-site at your place of work using your equipment.

Do You Have What It Takes To Become An Instructor?

In order to become an Instructor, you will need to have attended and passed an accredited operator course and have at least 2 years of experience in the subject you will be instructing.

You also need to be a good communicator and be able to use clear language in delivering the course to candidates. The ability to adapt your approach to suit the needs and experience of your trainees, as well as leadership skills and an outgoing personality are key to becoming a good instructor.

The Perfect Time To Invest In Team Training

Let’s Talk Training…

Our Instructor Training Courses

These comprehensive courses will give you the skills you need to become an effective Instructor. We have a variety of courses available to suit your needs…

Train The Trainer

If you have a passion for health and safety, our 3-day Train the Trainer courses are for you. You will learn to become an Instructor in the non-equipment course of your choice, such as Manual Handling, Health and Safety in the Workplace, or Risk Assessments. These courses provide the knowledge for employees to stay safe at work, and you can learn to instruct them with our specialist Train the Trainer course.

Instructor Courses In-House

Become an in-house Instructor and pass on your knowledge and experience of machinery and equipment operations to employees at your workplace. On our 5-day In-House Instructor Courses you will develop the ability to teach accredited courses in your chosen field (for example, Lift Truck), administer appropriate tests, and keep the relevant records.

NPORS Instructor

The National Plant Operators Registration Scheme (NPORS) is one of the UK’s leading accreditation bodies, and the awarding body for our courses here at Kentra Training. The NPORS Instructor Training Course is an instructional techniques course to ensure you are technically competent and understand a range of teaching methods.

On successful completion of the course, you will have gained an NPORS Instructor Accreditation.

NPORS offer two variations:

Novice – A 10-day course for those who are completing Instructor training for the first time.

Conversion – A 5-day conversion course for existing trainers or instructors to move to NPORS as their accrediting body.
