Kentra Training your Health and Safety Training Partner:

Kentra was established in 1997 by Norman Kennish. Straight away the company registered with NPORS as a training provider. Our registration is number 66 and as such we are now one of the longest serving TP’s with them, delivering nearly 100 different training courses, including our own unique NPORS Small Plant and Portable Tools course.

Your first contact with Kentra via email or phone will probably be with one of the Emma’s.   Emma E usually organises the training and all the scheduling for the courses, Emma has been with Kentra for 20 years.  She’s happy for you to pick her brains regarding the different courses we can offer, which ones go together to give you the best assessment routes.    Emma S is our administration and accounts contact for after your training, she is our NPORS expert being both admin and also an NPORS instructor you may see her in the duel role with Kentra.

Our NPORS Instructor Team:

Joining Emma S are our NPORS Instructor team, lead by Norman our founder.  Emma and Norman are based at our Training Centre in Middlewich, delivering a number of classroom based courses such as Fire Warden and Manual Handling.  In addition to these we also have Counterbalance and MEWP Scissor lift together with a purpose built Confined Space area which is NPORS approved.

Norman’s son John Kennish is also part of the team. John has been an NPORS instructor since 2003, he lives in Matlock and covers training throughout the Derbyshire and Staffordshire regions.  Gary and Callum Levens, another father and son team, this duo cover our Merseyside, Chester and North Wales regions delivering expert on-site training.

In addition to our resident tutors, we work with many NPORS Instructors, all seasoned professionals to deliver high-quality training solutions throughout the North West region. From Brett who lives on the Wirral, Mick, Gavin and Michael who all live in Staffordshire, down to Ade in Rugby so we can cover training into the Midlands.

We also know when to work with others:  Cheshire First Aid offer a fantastic array of First Aid courses, from Baby care to Emergency at work and Mental Health training.  Simon and Amy are dedicated to teaching us how to help in an emergency, and make the courses fun and engaging – we know we can’t wait to do our refresher course with them in the next couple of months.
