The F’s today are all about Forward Tipping Dumpers – starting with the big ones in our series of short blogs looking at the A to Z of courses we do.
Dumpers need very little explanation, seen on most construction sites these machines from 1 ton and above are primarily used to transport materials. It is the safest way to quickly move loose materials from and around a site. We cover all aspects of training from Novice operators, candidates who need refresher training to experienced workers, just requiring an assessment.
Course ratios – Forward Tipping Dumper
The course durations, training and testing ratios are
Novices : 1 – 3 days for 3 Delegates
Refresher & Test : 1 day, up to 3 delegates
Experienced Worker Tests (EWT) : 1 day for up to 6 delegates. Alternatively for EWT’s we can deliver NPORS special combination of 3+3, meaning 3 candidates can be tested on Excavator 180 + Dumper in the same day.

Accreditation
Upon successful completion of the course the candidates will received a Kentra Training ID card (credit card size) detailing the course completed.
In addition, we have the option to register the training with our Awarding Body NPORS. www.npors.com If your candidates are working offsite or on other peoples premises a recognised Awarding Body membership maybe advantageous. Prior to training we would apply to NPORS to register the course and upon successful completion of the course we would apply for the candidates 5 year membership with the NPORS scheme.

Training locations
At Kentra we have always provided on-site training, coming to you and delivering the training in your own space using the equipment you are used to using.
We will require a room for the theory session.
180 tipping. The Forward Tipping Dumper must be fitted with R.O.P.S.
If tipping over an edge a bund or stop block may be constructed as to withstand the force of the dumper.
A machine to load the FT Dumper, i.e. excavator, loading shovel, telehandler with bucket.
Reprehensive loads.
All vehicles to be in good working order.
