This hands-on, instructor-led course focuses on how to carry out thorough examinations of commonly used lifting accessories and small lifting equipment.

Lifting Accessories Covered:

  • Slings (webbing, wire rope, chain)

  • Shackles, hooks, clamps, trolleys

  • Lifting beams, grabs, and more

Small Lifting Equipment Covered:

  • Manual chain blocks, lever hoists, pull-lifts

  • Gin wheels, snatch blocks, Tirfor-style machines

  • Tripods with winches, fall arrest blocks

  • Safety harnesses, lanyards, and fall protection equipment
