Seasonal Greetings for 2021

Happy holidays to you all!  I know this is a very American saying, but I read somewhere recently that it’s an inclusive way of wishing someone well and showing that you respect and value whatever tradition they observe.

It’s not meant an insult to Christmas, but as a greeting used during the Christmas and winter holiday season to recognise the celebration of many holidays, sometimes starting with American Thanksgiving and including Hanukkah, the winter solstice, Christmas, Kwanzaa, and New Year’s Day.

So what ever you celebrate we wish you well.

Blog

We have been publishing a news page on our website for a while now and    (we try) to bring you a weekly blog featuring industry news and interesting course details as well as Health and Safety updates.

More recently we have also been using the Blog page to publish the individual course details and syllabuses.  We are nearly there, most the course details have now been uploaded, so have a look as we hope they will give an insight into the course programs.  But if you need any more information please get in touch as we still like to chat.

NPORS Test Paperwork

NPORS continually refresh, update and reevaluate their test paperwork and a new stipulation is that they have now made the completion of the candidates telephone number and email addresses mandatory.  This has come as a bit of a shock to us at Kentra, we will have to request this from all candidates as we will not be able to apply for their registrations without it.  But at this moment in time we will not checking the validity of the information provided.

Notification from NPORS
In particular the fields asking for a telephone number and email address are required and will become mandatory fields very shortly (November 2021). This is so as to enable NPORS to conduct any quality assurance checks or to contact the candidate directly should we need to and will not be used for any other purpose.

Appointed Person Refresher Courses

NPORS have clarified on their latest technical bulletin that in-house and non accredited certification is not sufficient evidence for attending an NPORS 1 day Appointed Person refresher course. Their description is as follows –

N401 Appointed Person Refresher
If refreshing NPORS certification for this category a 1-day refresher course is required. If refreshing certification from another recognised scheme and to ensure that all theoretical and practical requirements of BS7121 are met a 2-day refresher course is required. In-house, or non-accredited certification is not accepted for refreshers for this category.
