What’s new!

There have been lots of changes happening in the background, NPORS have updated a number of test papers and are becoming more proactive with the machine attachments.  So if you have any training coming up please make sure any attachments are available and we can include these where possible.

Still in the pipeline NPORS are working towards their very own Health Safety and Environment test (the touch screen – as most people know it by). The test has been mapped and approved by the CSCS and they will be releasing more details shortly on how we can apply to deliver these tests.

Courses coming up!

As many of you know we run an open course for Report of Thorough Examination every few months. This is the LOLER inspection course, for anyone who had small lifting equipment, harnesses, chains or shackles – don’t pay for someone to come an inspect them every six months – hop on our course and learn to certify them yourselves.

The course will be registered with our awarding Body NPORS and candidates successfully completing the two day training will receive a 5 year card membership issued by National Plant Operator registration Scheme (NPORS).

Running on Monday 8th and Tuesday 9th August, at our training center in Middlewich, the course cost is £375.00 per person, plus VAT which includes NPORS registration as mentioned above.

Here’s a link to our website for the Report of thorough examination course details, and if you would like any further information please give us a call.

Agriculture Training

At Kentra we love living where we do, in the rural Cheshire countryside and supporting both the towns commercial industry as well as the local farming community.

The HSE constantly warn us about the hazards faced when working in the agriculture sector, and a lot of this is due to the constantly changing environmental factors, the large equipment being used and lone working.

Here is just a section of the various training courses we can offer.

  • Agricultural Tractor
  • Telehandler
  • Loading Shovel
  • Vehicle Marshall
  • ATV / Quad Bikes
  • Confined Spaces
  • Manual Handling
  • Shredder
  • Chainsaw

These courses are available to any industry, and we find that many golf clubs, and country estates benefit from similar programs too.

We think that this is probably a good place to congrate everyone on a fabulous Cheshire Show.  We also have coming up the Somerford International Horse trials and Bolesworth Horse Show both being held this weekend.

The Bolesworth CarFest is on 22nd to 24th Julyand the Nantwich Agricultural Show at Reaseheath on Wednesday 27th July.

Good luck to all the events,   we are keeping our fingers crossed for good weather.
