Lot’s of S’s to get through in our series of short blogs looking at the A to Z of courses we do, the next S is for Safe working at height.
Just as the name suggests, this half day course covers an overview of safe working at height activities. Working at height is classed as any place where you are not on the ground. Falls from height are one of the HSE’s top statistics every year, 123 people were killed in work-related accidents in 2021/22, 29 of those deaths were caused by falls from height. We don’t like to quote statistics, but this is one specific area that is looked into due to the high rates, and is an area that can be helped with just a few simple precautions and equipment.
Course ratios – Safe working at height
Half day for up to 10 delegates
We can also provide two sessions for working at height in one day.
Alternatively, one safe working at height session plus a different one of the half day sessions such as Harness, Ladders, Fire Warden or manual handling.
Accreditation
Upon successful completion of the course the candidates will received a Kentra Training ID card (credit card size) detailing the course completed.
In addition, we have the option to register the training with our Awarding Body NPORS. www.npors.com If your candidates are working offsite or on other peoples premises a recognised Awarding Body membership maybe advantageous. Prior to training we would apply to NPORS to register the course and upon successful completion of the course we would apply for the candidates 5 year membership with the NPORS scheme.
Training locations
At Kentra we have always provided on-site training, coming to you and delivering the training in your own space.
